Ingalls explained that she had booked the room last-minute after needing to stay in the area for longer, but that the reviews “were fine” and simply explained that the host was “detail oriented.” Detail oriented could be described as an understatement, with endless notes left around the room and bathroom....

An existing NKr3bn ($340 million) loan guarantee from the Norwegian government relied on a $1.7 billion debt-for-equity swap that involved a variety of stakeholders, including aircraft leasing companies and bondholders. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said they received reports of possible child abuse taking place at an address in the city of Smiths Station on Monday. State Rep. Rolanda Hollis [D-Birmingham] filed House Bill 238 on Thursday as under current existing law, “there are no restrictions on the reproductive rights of men.” Hollis’ bill recommends that a man must undergo a vasectomy within one month of his 50th birthday or after the birth of his third biological child, “whichever comes first.” The bill also states that the man must pay for the vasectomy himself. The Board of Trustees’ decision on Thursday to add Autherine Lucy Foster’s name to the building comes 66 years after she first enrolled at the school. Foster, 92, attended the university for three days in 1956, but her attendance led to riots and protests and she was expelled, according to The Crimson White, the University of Alabama’s student newspaper. She earned her master’s from the school in 1992 and was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2019....

Governor Mike Dunleavy was responding to comments from Oleg Matveychev, a member of the Russian Duma, who told state TV on Sunday that Russia should be considering reparations from the U.S. for lost territories. The remarks came amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin announced sanctions against President Joe Biden and other U.S. officials on Tuesday, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
