The featured match will pit AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho against Jungle Boy in non-title action. There’s just a 10-minute time limit for the match, so if Jungle Boy wants to prove “Le Champion” wrong he’ll have to pin or submit the champ within that time.

The AEW Tag Team Championships are also on the line tonight, as the champs SCU take on The Young Bucks. Matt and Nick Jackson became number-one contenders when they defeated Santana and Ortiz last week in a Texas Street Fight, so now they’ll take on their old rivals Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian.

Will we get our first title change in AEW history tonight? The Young Bucks are currently embroiled in a feud with the Inner Circle as well, so we may see some shenanigans in this highly anticipated match.

Kris Statlander is quickly rising in the ranks of the AEW Women’s Division. After defeating the number-one ranked woman, Hikaru Shida, a couple weeks back the promotion’s resident extraterrestrial will take on Britt Baker for the right to battle AEW Women’s Champion, Riho.

Fans will also get to see Kenny Omega and Hangman Page take on the Lucha Bros in tag team action. Hangman and Omega may or may not be on the same page, but Omega is enjoying his recent tag team success with his former Elite brother. After Page distanced himself from The Elite to carve his own path in AEW, will there be any sort of dissention tonight?

AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS

Kenny Omega and Hangman Page vs Lucha Bros

Lucha Bros win via pinfall after a Double Stomp piledriverFinish was set up when Page accidentally hit Omega with a Lariat. After the match, Page and Omega look at each other in the ring. The two get into each other’s face and start to push each other. PAC gets on the titantron and calls out Omega. He opens a door to show Michael Nakazawa listening to music. PAC enters and closes the door causing Kenny to run to the back. When Omega gets back there, PAC and Nakazawa are gone. The Lucha Bros attack Kenny backstage when Page stops them. Omega gets up and continues his search.

Awesome Kong (with Brandi Rhodes and Melanie Cruise) vs Local Enhancement Talent

Before the match, a video of Brandi saying that tonight will be the night that her “alien” comes home. As the bald man from last week shows up with his back turned. Kong wins via pinfall after a Face BusterAfter the match, Kong cuts a strand of her opponent’s hair.

Chris Jericho (with Jake Hagar) vs Jungle Boy (with Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt)

During the match, Hagar hits Jungle Boy while the referee wasn’t looking causing Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt to fight him. All three men are ejected. The 10 minutes run out with Jungle Boy in the Walls of Jericho. Once it’s been called a draw, Jericho tells the ring announcer to give him five more minutes. Jungle Boy almost pins Jericho twice and the AEW Champion leaves the ring. After commercial break, Jericho gets on the mic and talks about Jon Moxley. He says that he will hold a celebration for him on New Year’s Day.

Kris Statlander vs Britt Baker

Statlander wins via pinfall after the Big Bang TheoryAfter the match, Statlander is interviewed. Statlander does her boop to Tony Shiavone when Brandi Rhodes comes out. She congratulates Statlander, but asks if she’s with the Nightmare Collective. Statlander is about to touch Brandi’s nose when she shakes her finger to tell her no. Awesome Kong and Melanie Cruise show up on the ramp allowing Brandi to hit Kris with the heel of her shoe. Sadie Gibbs comes out to tend to Statlander.

Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard Promo

Spears says that in AEW tag team wrestling matters. Shawn says that he needs to find a partner. Tully says he needs a partner who can be molded.

SCU (c) vs The Young Bucks - AEW Tag Team Championship Match

Kazarian pins Matt Jackson after an SCU-LaterAfter the match, The Dark Order creepers surround the ring. Evil Uno and Stu Grayson come out. They congratulate SCU, but they send the creepers at both teams and The Beaver Boys are part of the Dark Order. Kenny Omega, Cody and Dustin come down to help but get overwhelmed as well. At the end, Evil Uno gives The Beaver Boys their Creeper masks.
