Alds Second Inning Of Tigers O S Turns Into Massive Unintentional Derek Jeter Tribute

But the unintentional Jeter Tribute inning on Thursday night at Camden Yards couldn’t be ignored. By me, at least. The number 2 popped up everywhere on my screen.

I thought that would be it. I was so, so wrong. 

And then Andrew Romine came up with two outs in the second inning. And, you guessed it, he worked the count to 2-2.  

The tribute continued into the bottom half of the inning, too. 

And then, perfection. Two balls, two strikes, two on, two out, tied 2-2 in the second inning. 

Yeah. Does this mean the Yankees get back into the playoffs with a bye into the World Series, or that Jeter is automatically a free agent who can sign with any playoff team?
