Dyson told reporters Tuesday that Orioles third baseman Ryan Flaherty kneed him during a pickoff attempt in the sixth inning of ALCS Game 3.

“He put the knee down,” Dyson said, per CBSSports.com’s Jon Heyman.

Flaherty was not available for comment.

Dyson wasn’t hurt, and soon after he scored the eventual winning run a sac fly by Billy Butler.

Dyson’s lucky that a) Flaherty didn’t injure him and b) he doesn’t bat very much (0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk in the series), or else he might have to protect his legs from an “errant” fastball.

Not that Dyson’s worried about retaliation, mind you. After saying he wasn’t mad at Flaherty, he tossed in this zinger: “We’re just trying to see them come back tomorrow to get rid of ’em.”

We’d say act like you’ve been there, but of course Dyson and most of his teammates haven’t.
