Del Rio, who was released by WWE in August 2014 after an altercation with an employee, returned at “Hell in a Cell” Sunday night to answer John Cena’s open challenge for the United States Championship. Cena was first addressed by Zeb Colter, who then introduced Del Rio to the delight of the Staples Center crowd.

Del Rio quickly took control of the match, eventually finishing off Cena with a signature backstabber followed by a brutal kick to the face.
It’s safe to say Del Rio is happy to be a WWE champion once again.
