The Crimson Tide freshman had surgery on his knee this week, tweeting Tuesday that the procedure was a success.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban told AL.com on Wednesday that the Tide remain optimistic about Scarbrough returning at some point this season.
“We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to get him back for the season,” Saban said. “He was doing really, really well this spring practice. It happened late in the scrimmage. It was very unfortunate.”
As far as early progress, the promising young running back seems encouraged.
A 6-2, 240-pound running back, Scarbrough was a five-star recruit and the No. 2 athlete in the class of 2014, according to 247Sports.
