The Crimson Tide (8-0) and Tigers (8-0) meet in the first regular-season Game of the Century since 2011. Trump continues a sports tour of recent events that included the World Series and UFC 244, where he was booed. The World Series champion Nationals visited the White House on Monday.

This is not Trump’s first visit to a college football game since he took office. Trump attended the 2018 College Football Playoff championship game between Georgia and Alabama at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Trump also attended the Army-Navy game in 2018.

There is a history with U.S. presidents attending a regular-season “Game of the Century” between No. 1 and No. 2. On Dec. 6, 1969, President Richard Nixon awarded No. 1 Texas a controversial national championship on the field after the Longhorns beat No. 2 Arkansas, 15-14.
