Mishaal Abdullah scored the opener for Al Ahli in the 7th minute, and Ali Fraidoun scored his first and his team’s second on the night in the 15th minute, while Iranian defender Pejman Montazeri added the second in the 37th minute, and Ali Fraidoun completed his brace in the 66th minute.
Al Arabi attempted to mount a comeback as their striker Jiminez struck in the 74th and 90th minutes, but that brace did little to change the result.
With this result Al Ahli raise their point tally to 20 points in 6th position, while Al Arabi’s point tally freezes at 19 points in 9th position.
