When asked about seeing Davis in person, he responded: “That’s the quarterback, right? They asked me earlier. No disrespect, but I didn’t know who you were talking about. He did a great job. That’s an excellent job for a quarterback, especially. What year is it for him? Is he a rookie?”
Reporter: “Second year.”
Brooks: “For a second-year guy at quarterback to go out there and play the way he did is amazing. He’s only going to get better.”
I was never an NFL player, so maybe these guys on the other side of the ball are just a number to chase. But it seems strange for a veteran defensive player to have no clue who the opposing quarterback is. No disrespect.
