Silver took a few minutes to honor the late Harvey Pollack, the legendary 76ers statistician who died June 23 at age 93 . Pollack was known for, among many things, writing “100” on a piece of paper after Wilt Chamberlain’s historic 100-point game in 1962.
Among Pollack’s more significant contributions to the game: tracking minutes played, offensive and defensive rebounds, steals, turnovers and blocked shots.
