During “Weekend Update,” Sandler slid out to the desk as “Opera Man” to cover the latest news. He had plenty to say, or rather sing, about politics, but he also managed to sneak in some thoughts about Warriors forward Draymond Green poking Rockets guard James Harden in the eye and Kevin Durant’s rumored move to the Knicks.

“Please, Kevin! And bring Kyrie [Irving]!”
If that recruiting pitch from “Opera Man” can’t get the job done, then the Knicks simply have no chance at signing Durant this offseason. (Maybe KD is more of a “Herlihy Boy” fan?)
Sandler can be seen regularly on the sidelines at NBA games. He even played at the Jazz’s practice facility earlier this season before a stand-up show in Utah, so it’s no surprise Sandler added some hoops to “SNL.” Now he needs to make “Opera Man” figure out where every other major free agent is going so we can all sleep normal hours in July.
