MORE: Aaron Rodgers wants to play into his 40s
Dan Le Batard asked Rodgers about the amount of people the Green Bay Packers quarterback trusts.
“Oh wow,” said Rodgers. “I think there’s different levels of trust. There’s an inner circle of probably 8 or 10, and then a wider circle of 25 people or so.”
Rodgers continued by saying that anyone who achieves a certain level of success needs to be skeptical of people and their intentions — including the media.
“I think you have to be wary,” Rodgers said. “I think you have to approach every interview with a clear mind and think about what you want to say and what message you want to get out. I think it’s also important, if you’re worried about being taken out of context, that you just record your interviews. It’s something I’ve been doing for a while now, and I think it’s important to have that second recording so if someone’s trying to take something you said out of context you can go back and say, ‘Wait, wait. Hold on.’”
Rogers said he records his conversations with the memo app on his iPhone.
“What you said is what you said, and there’s no way to take your words and move them around a little bit.” said Rodgers.
