Rodriguez slugged his third home run of the night in the ninth inning, giving Perkins’ his second blown save of the season.

Trailing 5-4 in the ninth, Rodriguez homered to lead off the inning and tie the game. The Yankees would add three more runs on a John Ryan Murphy blast later in the inning, giving New York an 8-5 lead.

Andrew Miller pitched a scoreless bottom half of the inning to give the Yankees the win. 

Rodriguez also homered in the fourth and seventh innings, finishing the game 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored.

Before Saturday, Perkins had been 29-for-30 in save opportunities. His first blown save came July 18 against the A’s.
