Ahead of Sunday night’s fireball of an episode on “Game of Thrones,” we were made aware Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was going to make an appearance. He said as much during an interview at the Kentucky Derby, so NFL fans were on the lookout for Rodgers all episode.

The problem is that a lot of people in this show apparently look like Aaron Rodgers.

One scene that got a lot of attention was the one in the tweet below by former NFL punter Pat McAfee.

Several people on Twitter shared this photo as visual proof of Rodgers’ appearance — but this isn’t Rodgers.

The Packers quaterback was never dressed in this soldier outfit, as he showed us on Instagram.

This outfit kind of looks like another scene several people said was Rodgers, where the character dies in a hallway after being burned alive.

But this is just a cell phone recording in a poorly lit room, and it’s practically impossible to tell if this is actually Rodgers from the tweet.

If you take a look at a higher quality image from this scene, you can tell the actor doesn’t really resemble Rodgers.

So where was Rodgers, exactly?

Thankfully, he gave us a little hint. In a behind-the-scenes video for “Game of Thrones,” Rodgers talks a little bit about his experience on the show.

“I was helping a woman who was injured, sat her down, and then, the hell with her — I’m getting out of there!" Rodgers explains.

We can also see Rodgers wearing the same costume from his IG post, further proving it wasn’t him as the Lannister soldier.

There’s another Instagram post from a different extra who claims to have been in the same shot as Rodgers.

The second image certainly looks like Rodgers, although he’s so far away from the camera it’s hard to really tell. Also he’s not wearing a hat in this Instagram post, but he is wearing a hat in the video and in his Instagram post.

If we’re to take Rodgers at his word, where he’s helping a woman escape, then it would appear he’s this character in the background helping a woman (as captured by Deadspin).

It’s a very small appearance, but that would hold mostly true for cameos made by sports stars. Noah Syndergaard made a small appearance and you could barely even tell Joey Bosa was part of Episode 3 this season.

While it’s difficult to tell exactly where Rodgers was in this episode, we at least know he wasn’t in the two scenes that were highly publicized.
