Asian Football Confederation (AFC) through its Competition Committee today made the announcement that the 2019 Asian Cup match between North Korea and Malaysia scheduled for 28 March 2017 will now be postponed. Originally scheduled to be played in Pyongyang, but has now been postponed due to escalating diplomatic tension between the Governments of North Korea and Malaysia. It is a decision that is welcomed by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) as they had earlier submitted the request to have the game be moved to a neutral venue following the decision from the Malaysia government to stop the team from going over....

India have been grouped with Yemen, Turkmenistan and Saudi and only the top nation from each group will be directly qualify to the continental competition to be held in Indonesia in 2018. Apart from the group winners, the five best-placed second teams will also make it to the tournament. Chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid made the announcement on Monday after thousands of Taliban fighters overran eight districts of Panjshir overnight, witnesses told the Associated Press. “With this victory, our country is completely taken out of the quagmire of war,” he said. The Taliban seized the Islam Qala crossing point, a major transportation route between Iran and Afghanistan, in Afghanistan’s western Herat province, according to an Afghan official in the province who spoke with the AP on the condition of anonymity. Iranian media reported Afghan soldiers in the border area fled their posts into Iran for protection amid the Taliban’s takeover. The seizure of the Islam Qala crossing is the third border crossing the Taliban has overrun in the past week alongside crossings connecting Afghanistan with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan....

Goya Foods CEO Robert Unanue made the remarks during an interview on a radio show hosted by conservative Michael Berry on Monday.
